Quorum Z  aka "Lucho" was imported from Argentina as an unbroke 3 yr. old in 2005.  He is a young coming 5 yr. old as he just turned 4 yrs. in November 2006.  He is registered and branded Zangerheide and his pedigree reads like a "who's who" of showjumpers starting with Quick Star,  Galoubet, Alme Z (twice), I Love You, Goldschlager, etc...  His sire Quadanne Z is currently competing in South America in the Grand Prix jumpers with his sights on Aachen.

I can't say enough about this young horse's heart and temperment.  He enjoys his work and takes care of his rider, never gets rattled by rider error.  Lucho has the scope and power for the jumpers, but he is so quiet, steady, and rhythmic he would make a lovely Equitation horse also.

Lucho is working great under saddle doing w,t,c  and some more advanced flatwork including leg yields, extension/collection, counter canter, and he already has auto lead changes.  He is a lovely, fluid, rhythmic, mover with a HUGE step, he will easily make it down any line.  Light in the hand and responsive to leg.   When free-jumping, this horse is very powerful off the ground, can jump from any angle or distance, and will easily trot a 3'6  oxer.  Just started over fences late summer 2006 and is  careful, kind, brave and honest.  Travels well and very easy in any busy setting.  Has schooled at several big shows and just started competing in the 3'0-3'3 over fences classes this summer and earned good ribbons in his first show!

It is very hard to find a young prospect with all of Lucho's attributes- talent, temperment, size, bloodlines, soundness, and vice free.   The sky is the limit with this horse for a junior or amateur, he will do nothing but increase in value with show miles.  Online video and full length dvd's available on request.

According to published rules for the Young Jumper Championships, the fact that Lucho was born in South America in November of 2002 makes him  eligible for the YJC  5 yr. old classes starting January 1, 2008.   This will give him  a competitive advantage because by then he will be physically older and more experienced than his competition - An added bonus!

Congrats to Jeanette from CA on the purchase of this talented young gelding!
