Penny is a 9 year old, 16 Hand Dutch/Thoroughbred mare that was purchased in Canada. Based on her extraordinary jumping talent we planned to make her a Jr/Am jumper but she quickly became our back up broodmare when another mare didn't conceive. Prior to that Penny was shown in the child/adult jumpers. She also is our best trail horse and the one that is safe to put the inexperienced riders on. She is forward going but very responsive and listens to her rider. Penny consistently throws size, fantastic jumping form and quiet friendly temperments.
Penny's first foal was Quin Rouge who has certainly exceeded all expectations. As a 3 year old Quin stood an athletic 16'3 hands and is now being trained as a Grand Prix jumper with his new owner.
Penny gave birth to her second Colt in 2006, this one by the great hanoverian stallion "Contendor" owned by Signature Farm. Rio is for sale and you can see more pics of "Rio" on his webpage.
In 2008 Penny gave us a bigger, prettier version of herself in "Roxy", a dark bay filly by Roc USA
